Before things can get hot and heavy with Jack, Jill whips out her “V-Card”-- a literal, business-sized card-- in an attempt to avoid an awkward conversation on a subject two consenting thirty-somethings shouldn't have a problem with : why she’s still a virgin. The card explains everything on the back… but should Jill have to explain herself in the first place?

Matthew Jeffers is thrilled to be a part of The Players Theater Short Play Festival. Favorite previous credits include The Mysteries (The Flea), The Blacklist (NBC), Little Rooms (Ma-Yi), Washington Square Theater Project (Playwrights Horizons), and a particularly surly bomber in some Hearthstone commercials. Towson University Grad and Baltimore native.

Stacey Weingarten is a writer, puppeteer, director, and producer (EP: Chinese Mother Jewish Daughter LLC). She develops original projects that explore a wide variety of subjects, often with an agenda of social awareness through entertainment. Favorite projects include Ludo’s Broken Bride (Adaptation/Director), 5th Republic (Book), Rescue Rue (Concept, Book, Addt’l Lyrics), Monica’s Mixing Bowl (Producer/Writer), Spirits: The Bar Plays (Writer). Katherine Dudas

Billie

Katherine Dudas is an actor, writer, improviser, and comedian. She's written for Reductress and her comedic personal essays have been featured in Bustle.  As an actor, Katherine's was the lead as an improvised character on Oxygen Network's "My Crazy Love.  Her original show "Why?: A Reverse Christmas Carol on a Woman Who Voted for Trump" was selected for a performance at the Upright Citizens Brigade this May. Katherine is also currently writing, producing, and starring in her Funny or Die featured web series Waking Up Worried with Katherine on Facebook. She didn't kiss Prince Charming in a 7th grade production of Cinderella because she was too afraid.

Jackson Perrin

Bobbie

Jackson Perrin is a Houston native now residing in Brooklyn. He's an alumni of Texas State’s Musical Theater program, a member of AEA, and a certified coach of One Voice Vocal technique. Most recently he participated in the workshop reading of Douglas Lyon's and Melvin Tunstall's  "Peter Darling".

While getting ready for his drag show in Hell's Kitchen, Gary is possessed by the ghost of an Irish Gangster seeking revenge. Hijinks ensue as the Old Hell's Kitchen collides with the New in this comedic short.

Zachary Clarence

Gary

Zachary Clarence is a filmmaker, theatre artist, and pretentious af. Loves working on LGBTQIA stories, and was recently seen in “Burning” at the Theatre at St. Clements and the webseries “Drag Tomi Lahren!” Writing/directing credits include “The Women’s Bathroom Project,” two seasons with Brunch Theatre and upcoming “End Conversion Therapy.” www.zacharyclarence.com  

 

Cassi Mikat

The Nun

Cassi Mikat is thrilled to be joining the cast of Gentleman Gangster and promote new works in NYC. Regional credits include Master Class (Sharon Graham), Sweeney Todd, It’s a Wonderful Life: ALRP (Jazz Quartet), and The Full Monty with the Human Race Theatre Company, as well as Les Miserables (Madame Thenardier), South Pacific (Lead Nurse), and Into the Woods (Florinda) with The Encore Musical Theatre Company. Other favorite credits include Sondheim on Sondheim (Barbara Cook track), 25th…Spelling Bee (Rona), and Tartuffe (Dorine). She has also sung in concert both with Tony Award-Winner Leslie Uggams and Adam Pascal. Cassi is a graduate of the Wright State University musical theatre program.

Kate Sutherlin McLeod

Kate Sutherlin McLeod is an actor and writer. McLeod is returning to the stage after various film roles: Making a Scene with James Franco, Privilege, All-Star Weekend, and Last of Us Fan Film Series, for which she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at The Long Beach International Film Festival. McLeod is currently voicing the main character of an up and coming animated series, Necromandy. Previous theater credits include, Twelfth Night, Dancing at Lughnasa and Uncommon Women and Others.

Lev Harvey

Lev Harvey, a New Jersey native, is thrilled to be a part of this production. A graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Lev has performed with the New Yiddish Rep and Origin Theatre Company as well as with JW Actor’s Studio. He is best known for his portrayal of Happy Loman in New Yiddish Rep’s Off-Broadway production of Death of a Salesman (2016 Drama Desk Nominee). Other New York Theatre credits include Warmth, The Bespoke Overcoat, The Irish Hebrew Lesson, You Belong to Me, and The Constant Wife. He also appeared on MTV’s The Substitute. He would like to thank his family and friends for their never-ending love and support.

 

Carl Zurhorst

The Bartender

Carl Zurhorst: Born in Maine and based in NYC, Carl trained at William Esper Studios and recently completed a MA in Acting from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Stacey Weingarten is a woman of many hats, mostly cloches and porkpies. When she’s not writing, directing, or producing (as EP of Chinese Mother Jewish Daughter LLC), she’s usually puppet wrangling for shows like Sesame Street or teaching Puppetry at Pace University. Favorite writing credits include: 5th Republic (NYMF '11), Jarreau’s (NYMF Reading ’12), LUDO’s Broken Bride (ANT Fest '13; NYMF ‘16), Rescue Rue (NYMF & NYCTF ‘14), and webseries Monica’s Mixing Bowl (MonicasMixingBowl.com). Devin Richey

Choreographer/Movement Coach

Devin Richey originally hails from the small town of Milford, Michigan and currently calls New York City his home. He has just acquired a BFA in Commercial Dance from Pace University, with a focus in Choreography and Pedagogy. His choreography credits include: Young Choreographer’s Festival 2016, Dumbo Dance Festival 2016, Choreographer’s Canvas 2016; official music videos for mocap.’s “Frameshift,” and 43’s “Bleed Green Walls;” TECHO/Univision #ZeroSlums Poverty Awareness flash mob; (assoc.) “Bossanova” (Dancespace 2016). Devin continues to perform and choreograph in both the Commercial and Theatrical industries.

 

Mick Bleyer

Fight Choreographer

Mick Bleyer is an award winning choreographer and director with a focus on stage combat, his work has been seen all over the city. Acting credits include Lincoln Center, Goodspeed, North Shore, Classical Theatre of Harlem, NYMF, and a summer season at the Virginia Shakespeare Festival, as well as tons of workshops and readings of new works. He is also a founding member of the vocal jazz quintet Marquee Five. Thanks to Stacey for bringing him along for the ride!

A dark comedy based on a true story

Dawson City, Yukon Territory, 1980. Bartender Billie bursts into the backroom of the Sourdough Saloon with bad news: the severed toe used for tourist-favorite “sourtoe cocktails” is gone. A macabre game of manipulation ensues as Billie and bar manager Bobbie make a plan to replace it… but with whose toe? A dark comedy based on real events. Runtime 10 minutes.

Dorie Casper is thrilled to be making Sourtoe Cocktails at the Boo! Short Play Festival! Dorie is a graduate of the Second Year Conservatory at Michael Howard Studios and currently attends scene study with Gabrielle Berberich and Richard Kline. Favorite roles include CAROLE LOMBARD in A PRIVATE NIGHT WITH HOLLYWOOD ICONS, LUCYGALE in SHILOH RULES and JOANNE in VANITIES. In addition to acting, Dorie is also a cowriter/producer/actor for the award winning webseries,Thro-Bax. Joshua Holden

Puppeteer

Joshua Holden an award-winning international puppeteer, actor, and joy-maker based in Brooklyn, was named one of “20 Theatre workers You hold Know” by American Theatre Magazine. He was on the Broadway national tour of Avenue Q, the Lead Puppeteer in Peter Pan 360 (ThreeSixty Entertainment), and garnered an Arts Impulse award  as well as an IRNE nomination for “Best Actor In a Musical” as Bill Snibson in Me & My Girl (Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston). He worked with international artist Banksy on his controversial piece Sirens of the Lambs. Joshua is the creator and host of, The Joshua Show: a joy filled internationally touring family show.
